Letter to Senator Hornback

Dear Senator Hornback,
In this sixth grade classroom the students read online articles. There was one discussing children working on tobacco farms. There was a comment from you on the article addressing the problem. You said no further restrictions are needed. But do know child workers at the age of seven are vomiting because they are touching chemicals on tobacco? That they aren’t wearing any protective gear. How would you if you seven year child was throwing up because the laws are restricting them from having protective gear? Or your grandchildren? I think there should be laws saying that the farm owners provide protective gear. You could start with your tobacco farm. Imagine those kids’ parents who are worried about there little girl or boy going off to farms. That they could possibly catch something. Aren’t you the senator of Kentucky? Shouldn’t you be protecting our citizens? I think you should take my suggestions into consideration.
